On today's segment on Doctor Radio a caller wanted to know about wearables for swimmers. Ars Technica looked at this subject recently and here is a link, as promised. As I mentioned on air, the Garmin unit packs a lot of punch, at least on paper. Note however, that Amazon reviews of the watch are less than Olympic Gold, maybe even fourth place.
