Musicians and PodCasters, alike, will find the IKlip Xpand a useful product for attaching a tablet to a mike stand. The clip comes unassembled, and I admit that I was concerned when the fittings around the ball joint didn't completely close, in practice, the unit securely worked as promised, allowing me to use my iPad to display music or notes. I tested the standard size unit (though it also was able to hold my Kindle Paperwhite). A smaller model, the IKlilp Xpand Mini, is designed for devices from 3.5" to 6".
The iKlips will also be of use to musicians who use their tables as instruments or filters. IK Multimedia, for instance, also produces a long line of musical apps including virtual pianos and synths and software for Karaoke and DJing. Another app, not yet released will "turn the pages" of musical scores. In each case, having a secure way to have the tablet within the reach of the musician will be a great benefit to performers.
